At the annual Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada Convention in Toronto, Mongolia’s delegation delivered an ambitious message.

Gongoryn Damdinnyam, the country’s minister of industry and mineral resources, argued that Mongolia should move beyond exporting raw minerals and develop domestic processing capacity. The goal is to capture more value from its copper, coal, gold and rare earth resources.
