Prime Minister Zandanshatar unveils his cabinet with promises of continuity and no dramatic change.


The swift ascent of Gombojavyn Zandanshatar to Mongolia’s premiership was confirmed by parliament on June 13th. Just days later, he unveiled his cabinet. This rapid transition brought a quick end to the political uncertainty that had followed Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene’s abrupt departure.

Of the 19 ministerial portfolios, ten are held by incumbents, many of them veterans of Oyun-Erdene’s team. Key posts like Finance, Foreign Affairs, Energy, and Transport remain under the control of long-serving ministers: Javkhlan, Battsetseg, Choijilsuren and Delgersaikhan.
